Sharing LESGO’s breakthroughs and future plans
The Consortium met in the northern coastal city of Donostia (Spain) to share the project’s latest advancements and results.
Inna Khairani from the University of Wuppertal and Benjin Jin from Aalto University started the presentations by summarizing their latest results and highlighting the collaboration among their institutions. U Following that, each work package leader provided a comprehensive overview of their progress to the rest of the team, highlighting the remarkable achievements accomplished so far. A special focus was placed on the LESGO prototype, assembled during the last week of June, which was explained in detail by IREC researcher Nina Carretero and Hysytech R&D engineer Freddy Liendo. After lunch, there was some time dedicated to scientific discussions focused on the pending milestones. The updated timing of the deliverables moved towards the end of the project in April 2024, was also debated.
In the afternoon, the team visited the facilities of Graphenea, also located in the Technological Park. Guided by researchers Amaya Ortega and Beatriz Alonso, they saw the laboratories and offices of the company and its spin-off Kivoro, focused on specialty chemicals. Overall, the meeting proved to be a productive event and fueled optimism for the project’s future success.
